Splinter slide!
This one is my favorite of the four. I think I got into this room at just the right time to take the picture.
It's great when things align so well. The masks and effects naturally augment the layers and lighting of the original source picture. I masked out some of the lamer graffiti and the trash on the ground, and I think that helped match it to the actual age of the building.
So that was four pictures from a rundown school, from me to the world. Another couple photos they remind me of are these:
These are by Alan Aubry (b. 1974), French photographer. They're pictures of a South African township that call themselves Masiphumelele. His pictures are great, check them out and his other stuff here.
