Yeah, they're under the cyanide capsules
One thing I like about what I do is that no negative is completely useless. They can always be painted upon, or melted down, or disturbed in some way, or they can instead be put in a box and wait for a rainy day. So for this picture I opened the rainy day box, shoved aside the handgun and dried jerky, and collected two negatives.
The background is a shot from years ago, maybe 2005. It was taken while walking around a park near my parents place. This park makes me sick. It's so green and lush, and soft on the foot when you frolic barefoot playing games with your queer parents. When I was a kid, that same place was an abandoned cement factory, a barren, flat cement wonderland for jerk off kids. It was the kind of place to shoot beer bottles with slingshots and tag anything you wanted. I couldn't tell you where teens are sneaking away to bone these days. What a sad world...
The foreground is my attempt a projecting my texture onto a living mannequin, AKA a chick. But the fine little details of the texture didn't really show up as well on a person because they have to do things like breath, etc.
So on the rainy day, I was bored and came up with this montage. I already threw it on the blog before, but yesterday I came upon a really cool photographer, and if you like my stuff, you're gonna like his:
This is "Awakening" by Emil Schildt (b.1958) and it's from his Angel series. Check out his site, cause his work is very good. He seems to focus mainly on surreal portraiture like this image, but he throws in the occasional still life. I suppose this entry was more to show him off than my rainy day picture, so there you go!
