Scritch scratch
Do you ever ponder after taking a leak at a truckstop about the life of the nomadic trucker when exiting the somehow clean, some of the time, facility? Do you ever wonder why you chose your stagnate life on the ground as opposed to an ever changing nine axle existence? A magical life could await you, where the road is your mistress... your wife is most likely a pain in the ass... meth... and twink hookers hold back tears for your money or the willingness for you to drive them somewhere. Do you want to be wearing flannel and denim at the same time right now?

BBW
Sorry to burst your bubbles, people, but unless you happen to be extremely lucky the people you've met are not interesting. Now all of us could go and start playing the "blame game" but that won't get us anywhere, and frankly it isn't your fault or mine. We just haven't been exposed to the true pipeline of information that is the Country Singles circular. In this world, knowledge is power, and power is essential if you happen to be divorced, widowed, or never married. Life has shat on you enough, no longer when you find the loving embrace of an 18 Wheel suitor using the Country Singles circular.

Out of doors!
I was out and about the other day and I was near the darkroom I use, so I swung by and pinched out this bit o' goodness. I wish I had something to compare these new pictures to, but sadly they were inspired by nothing but my own mind. So enjoy this picture thanks to my essence, which also goes great on fish. BAM!

Switch it up!
Here's one fresh off the grill. I thought I'd try something a little different with the new negatives I collected on my road trip, because we all know consistency is the hobgoblin of blah blah-blah blah.

Diamonds in the back, sunroof top...
This shot is from Minden, Iowa. Minden was great because I needed a mailbox, and they had one. This gravel road broke off the main street, it might even be a driveway, and I thought it would show up pretty cool with the lens I was using. I was using a slightly wide angle lens, not too extreme, but it's just enough to suck everything towards the center of the frame boosting that vanishing point just a bit.

Beautiful, in a no one can hear you scream kinda way
I suppose I shouldn't poke fun at card carrying NRA members, so I'll shift over to this landscape also from I-80 in Iowa. There aren't too many places in Baltimore where you can see the curvature of the earth from all angles, with all our buildings and such, so it was a cool sight for me at least. I'd never gone so long without seeing a flashing blue big brother camera in my life!
Five Stars! One for each restaurant.
I'm wondering if you ever think, "Man, I'm fixin to get some cowboy boots, some mashed potatoes, and a samurai sword, but I'll be god damned if I'm gonna stop at different places." Well stop fretting, because at the worlds largest truck stop in Iowa you can get anything you or your couther could ever want all under one roof!
Slow down, this aint no August rush!
Cloud-wise it was a good week to drive to Nebraska and back. To celebrate clouds and their fluffiness here are some non-sequential straight shots of that drive. It is important to stop and stretch your legs during an 18 hour drive to help prevent the road equivalency of space madness.
