What's that thing poking out of this rift in the universe?

When your hands become a portal to an alternate universe this means two things: One, your life has been changed forever, and two, interdimensional wiener.

Duh.

Throw up the horns! 11/11

Lo! A new picture! That sentence was going to start with the word Looking but then I backspaced and decided to pull over, we were done. This picture is a mix of New York and San Diego, can you guess which is what? I like this picture because it turned a little kid playing with a boat into a creep, creeping on some kids. Little did anyone know at the time, including myself, that it was really I who was the actual creep all along. Sometimes you gotta creep for the sake of the arts.

You can spend time without spending a dime!

Remember how in cartoons the background would seem to repeat over and over again? The truth is you actually have the memory of a goldfish, which is very short. Actually that's not the truth, that myth has been busted, by the Mythbusters no less, so you know the busting was quality. You must have felt very special for the longest time having the myth that you have the memory of a goldfish. Guess what? Too bad! We know your memory is fine, you faker!

Tails of two cities

Here's a little something I made today! This picture took a lot of back and forth to finally get to where I like it. So as a fun bonus I thought I'd run through how I made this picture, because it is a very exciting process! This picture comprises of three different negatives, and to make it I used three different enlargers. To do something like this it is important to know how to line up different images onto one page of photo paper so that they line up in a way that looks good. But even if you know how, sometimes a picture just has to be a pain in the ass...

Cloud Zero

This shot is from the East End in Manhattan taken about a year ago. I usually avoid stark white skies, but I dig it in this picture.

Schmecond hand

When you have hundreds and hundreds of negatives, occasionally you should go through them and try to glean something interesting. This might qualify: a picture from central park. I'm not sure when I took this, nobody is smoking cigarettes so it might be THE FUTURE!

Brownsville

Here's my favorite of the bunch. This is a scene from Cedar Street in Manhattan. For this picture I over exposed it a bit when I developed and then afterward I bleached it down. This gave it a boost in contrast, but also the shift towards a brown tone. And a brown tone is always a good thing.

I can dig it, he can dig it, she can dig it, we can dig it, they can dig it, you can dig it...

Grazing in the grass is a gas, and there were plenty to sock it to me on a sunny Sunday in New York. Another picture from Brooklyn Bridge Park, this time featuring the bridge in the background.

Hold it!

Got a few more New York photos, and may as well put em up! This one is of Brooklyn Bridge Park, or at least right next to it in the water. I went over it with some glue and paint using a spatula, letting it dry unevenly. This gave it that folded look which I think ages the picture, making it look more timeless. You can be sure it's flat!

Big city, takin' a nap

Here's a shot of New York on Sunday from atop the Brooklyn Bridge. Millions of people walk this bridge, so this image is inspired by Google Image search, because I'm sure that this picture is on there a few times over. But this one is mine, it just oozes SNICHOPHOTO!

Check it! Here's a first five minutes from Law and Order picture for you of Manhattan and the Brooklyn bridge. By the way, the guy with more than ten lines is the one who did it.

>>Taken From the SNICHOVAULT<< All the Trees are White

Got an old shot from Central Park I might as well show. I've been using this picture as a window shade in my bathroom for about a year now, facing in... depriving the world until now!

I saw this picture in a grilled cheese that I bought on eBay

New negatives are drying, doing their thing. Now the only thing I can do is wait, but in the meantime I've always have something floating around to show off. Here's one I made a little while ago. I made it for the same reason I am making this entry, just to pass the time. So when you're ready...

>>Taken From the SNICHOVAULT<< Gnosh on some photos, why don't you? Would it kill you?

I shot these two about 2 years ago in Central Park. It was a very cold, wet day, and my ass was pretty damp on one of those benches. It's nice to be in a place where people expect to see photographers. It's strange to me how in a time where there is a camera in everything we own and on every street corner people still seem to look confused at a person walking around with a camera. Most likely they are afraid of having their good looks exploited.
